English Premier League Weekend Preview Part 2

Reading vs West Brom is another total toss-up and you’ve got the Royals priced out at 15/8 despite being the home side. Expect plenty of resistance from West Brom - a side that has been outperforming expectations and proving that they can get results pretty much anywhere. The Baggies are the 11/8 favourites while the draw trades at 11/5.

Fulham have been putting together a solid series of good results over the past few weeks with Dimitar Berbatov emerging as a genuine leader from the front. They go into their match with Wigan as the strong 5/6 favourites while the Latics are a hefty 3/1 to get the away victory. Wigan can put together some good results from time to time and they might have their eyes on this one. Look for the first goal to be especially important here.

Chelsea are away to Stoke - a tricky predicament for nearly every top side. The Blues are the slim 4/5 favourites for this one but the Potters will be attracting plenty of attention at 16/5 for the outright win. The 12/5 draw looks appealing as well and there’s a lot to like about Stoke’s ability to grind out a 1-0 result if they can get the first goal. Chelsea, should they win, will likely run away with it.

Aston Villa vs Southampton may not sound like a barn-burner at the outset but this is an important fixture for both teams - expect them to go for all three points. Look out for Villa  as the 13/10 favourites while Southampton can be had at 15/8. The 23/10 draw might be the way to go - particularly if you think the two sides might cancel themselves out and finish up 0-0.

Everton face off against Swansea in the final fixture of Saturday’s Premier League action. Everton have been extremely consistent throughout most of the season and the Toffees will have plenty of confidence going into this match. There is a great betting opportunity on the Swans to get another big result here - punters can back them at 5/1. Look out for the 11/4 draw as well - particularly if Everton haven’t taken the lead at half-time.
