FA Cup Replay Betting Tips and Preview

Two of the Premier League’s lower-key sides were able to muster up dramatic performances against some of the top sides during the last round of FA Cup action. Tomorrow will see Arsenal face off against Swansea in a replay as well as Manchester United taking on West Ham at Old Trafford.

Needless to say, United and Arsenal go into their matches as distinct favourites to emerge through to the next round. Of the pair, it’s fairly obvious that Arsenal are the most vulnerable - particularly with Swansea putting together a string of quality performances over the past several months.

West Ham too have looked good on their day however they haven’t played quite as resolutely as the Welsh side - still finding their feet in many games and waiting for players to settle in.

The bookmakers have Arsenal at an 8/15 price tag for the outright win while Swansea can be backed at 11/2 to progress in regular time. Should we see a draw in this one we will be going straight to extra time and then penalties. A regular-time draw would pay out in the margin of 3/1 - it’s clear that the bookmakers see it as a distinct possibility.

United can be backed at a very slim 1/3 price while the Hammers are available at a lengthy 17/2 listing. A draw in that fixture pays a full 4/1.

The big news in this one for Manchester United is that Wayne Rooney will be back and ready for this one though it remains undecided whether he will start the match or not. Sir Alex Ferguson may opt to start with a lower-profile pair in Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez, leaving high-flying Dutchman Robin Van Persie on the bench, to be used as a trump card should the side need another rescue.

Wayne Rooney trades at 10/11 to grab an anytime goal but since he may not start the match, it’s better to back him to score last if you see him coming on - you can notch a 7/2 price tag on Wazza to score on his return.

Theo Walcott looks set to start up front in Arsenal’s face-off against Swansea and the bookmakers have him trading at a slim 8/11 to score anytime.
