HODGSON ODDS ON TO LEAD LIVERPOOL NEXT SEASON

With many feeling that Roy Hodgson's days as Liverpool manager are numbered, there is also a certain circle that consider him the man to steer the Reds through this current lack of form.
William Hill has today released odds on Roy Hodgson to still be in charge at Anfield on day one of the 2011/12 Premiership season.
Hodgson is currently Yes/No bet at equal odds of 1.83
Considering Liverpool's embarrassing run of form, which has seen them knocked out of the Carling Cup by third-tier Northampton Town, as well as Sunday's loss to Premiership newbies Blackpool, this might be a good bet for those willing to take a punt.
On the same topic, William Hill are also offering odds of the 'Next manager to leave' with Hodgson currently sitting third on the list behind Roberto Martinez, and Avram Grant at 6.0 even.
Despite the current woes being experienced, Hodgson is old school and one cannot imagine him throwing in the towel.
With Roy still trying to savour something of this season, there are increasing rumours as to who might follow him up as manager in charge.
Kenny Dalgish has been mentioned as a possible successor within the 2010/11 season at odds of 4.33
Liverpool as a club is also finding themselves under increasing scrutiny, with many wondering where on the Premiership log the Reds will finish.
William Hill once again caters for those willing to take a crack, with a 2nd - 4th finish netting odds of 5.5.
Considering the current relegation zone placement of the club- this is highly unlikely with an 11th-17th position a very real scenario at 5.0 even
A 5th- 10th place finish is the current favoured scenario at 1.33- a big ask considering their dismal run of form
If the Reds are to finish stone last- something that would most likely result in Anfield riots- one would see a punter a very rich individual at a massive 101.0
Hodgson has it all to do in the next few weeks, with him stating before the start of the season that he would only like to be judged after the first 10 games in charge.
He is fast coming up to this deadline, and to be honest looks completely out of his depth and a certainty to take the fall for a club to proud to be languishing in the relegation zone.
Betting Tip: Hodgson to NOT be in charge the first day of the 2011/12 season at 1.83
