La Liga Betting Odds and Preview

As another season of La Liga action kicks off this weekend we have a lot to look forward to in the Spanish League but the bookmakers appear confident that it’s going to come down to the usual question of Barcelona or Real Madrid for the La Liga title. With so many superstar players packed into those two teams there really doesn’t look like much of a chance that we will see an outside challenge begin to emerge in the Spanish Primera Liga.

Lionel Messi & co are trading as the betting favourites to secure the La Liga title and it appears as though the bookmakers are especially confident in their ability to do it this time around.

As it currently stands, punters will find the Catalan Club trading as the 4/6 favourites for the outright victory in the league. Should they wind up securing the trophy towards the end of the season, this could look like a sharp bet but you reckon that a lot more neutral punters might be having a bash on Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are the clear second favourite here by some distance with a general 13/8 price tag being floated right now. You can’t really expect those odds to fluctuate dramatically until about half-way during the season unless either Real Madrid or Barcelona start to drop points with shocking regularity.

Atletico Madrid appear to be the closest chance of a genuine challenger here and they have proven in the past that they can more or less tangle with anybody and get a genuine result on their day. Look for them at a 16/1 margin while Valencia are the next in line. Bookmakers have them as high as 66/1 for the season win and you’ll probably find Seville around the same listing.

The odds then take a big jump to about 300/1 for Villareal so that really should give you an accurate portrait of how the champions league places should line up.
