Liverpool vs Newcastle Monday Betting Tips PT 2

That has definitely paid off now though with Palace in upper mid-table and a real feel-good factor restored to the London club. Now Newcastle are teetering just over the relegation zone and while they are not mathematically safe (they are just seven points and four places ahead of seventeenth place Hull City) they should be able to eek out this season.

The three points here are pretty big for both teams but it appears to be Liverpool who come into the match as the distinct favourites to take all of the aforementioned points. The bookmakers have them listed as low as a 4/11 price for the outright victory while you’ll find that the Magpies can be backed at an 8/1 listing and the draw (which will probably entice many neutral punters) can be found trading at a competitive 4/1 listing right now.

Liverpool’s big problem this year has really been a lack of goals from a misfiring strike force - though they were always going to struggle to replace the likes of Luis Suarez - they were even worse off by trying to do that with Daniel Sturridge and one of football’s most enigmatic oddball’s in Mario Balotelli.

Sturridge gets the nod here to grab the any time goal with an even money price tag putting him just ahead of the Italian striker who is trading at an 11/8 listing alongside teammate Raheem Sterling. It has really been Sterling whose reputation has been enhanced this year and big money moves to a lot of famous clubs seem to be in the cards for the English winger.

For Newcastle it appears as though Ayoze is the betting choice for their potential strike here and he rewards at a full 4/1 price tag while Emmanuel Riviere is a 9/2 option for many and he also trades at 11/1 to score first or last.

Daniel Sturridge to score any time and Liverpool to win the match pays out at a 6/4 margin and that might be a decent option for those who believe that a workmanlike Liverpool victory is in the cards.
