Next Leicester Manager Betting Update PT 2

Jocelyn Gourvennec is retaining a 12/1 price at a few books while former favourite for the job Guus Hiddink continues to drift up heavily and can be spotted in the 5/1 to 14/1 range right now - which is a clear indication that there really isn’t a huge amount of consensus on Hiddink right now but the momentum clearly favours him not accepting the Foxes job even if he happens to be offered the position. He would be in a tricky position from the outset and it should be widely acknowledged that Guus Hiddink is the type of manager that you bring on to get your site into the Europa League or the Champions League - not a relegation dogfight that is going to be won or lost based on grinding out victories at Stoke City.

Claudio Ranieri has emerged as an interesting outside contender and his price had, admittedly, shortened pretty quickly in the past couple of days with a number of top bookmakers taking him as low as 8/1 with a few others willing to pony up a 14/1 price tag on the infamous Premier League tinkerman being given another opportunity to manage in the English top flight.

Martin O’Neill had also been a contender for a while and it would have been a return to Leicester for him but the drift appears to be on and he is looking increasingly unlikely to accept the position with a listing hovering anywhere from an 8/1 margin all the way up to 14/1.

Once you get past Martin O’Neill you are really getting into territory where you are reaching a little bit. Steve Cotterill (who would be an underwhelming signing for many observers) can be backed anywhere from 12/1 to 20/1 while Jurgen Klopp (who would be a solid - though unlikely - signing) is anywhere from 14/1 all the up to a 25/1 price tag right now.

Roberto Di Matteo had been in the mix for a while but now looks like he’s out of the reckoning with an 18/1 listing or a 33/1 listing depending on your bookmaker. Some of the more interesting listings out there include Michael Laudrup at 25/1, Esteban Cambiasso at 33/1 and Kevin Phillips at 40/1.
