Transfer Deadline Day Betting Update PT 1

With several hours still to go in the transfer window many punters are still licking their lips waiting for the big-time drama we usually associate with this day. Mostly due to the underwhelming nature of the moves we’ve seen so far, there isn’t a whole lot to write home about aside from Wilfried Zaha confirming a full-time move back to Crystal Palace earlier on.

Even some of the more likely deals have so far failed to materialize with Darren Fletcher’s move to West Ham collapsing after it appeared the Hammers were only interested in a loan deal for the central midfielder whose recent career has been plagued by a medical condition that has kept him off the field for more matches than he has played.

Right now, Fletcher is a 6/4 shout to remain at Manchester United through the end of the day with only West Brom and Celtic remaining in the mix for the accomplished midfielder. Both sides trade at a 7/4 margin and that could be good value on him remaining at United.

Danny Ings looks likely to go absolutely nowhere at the moment with the bookmakers pricing him at a 1/8 listing to remain at Burnley at least until the summer. He is an 11/2 shout to remain at Liverpool while Spurs are still (sort of) in the mix at 12/1.

It had also looked likely at some point that Adnan Januzaj would be moving at least on loan away from Manchester United but he’s definitely likely to stay now and ranks as one of the surest things on the entire transfer window betting board with a slim 1/10 price tag. He is 6/1 to move to Everton.

Mats Hummels had been one of the main potential signings that everybody had been talking about with Louis Van Gaal making no secret of his desire to sign the Dortmund sensation. However, he is likely to stay put with a minuscule 1/80 price to remain at Dortmund and United trading at a 6/1 that is probably much shorter than it should be, all things considered.
