Rudy Gestede remains likely to stay at Blackburn with the bookmakers pricing that at around 1/2 right now. Swansea had been in the mix for his signature but that’s looking longer by the minute with a 7/2 price being floated on that at the moment. Crystal Palace are 6/1 while Hull City are a lengthy 10/1 - but they could definitely use the reinforcement.

News has arisen that former Everton favourite Tim Cahill was leaving the United States and heading to a new club. Many were disappointed to hear that new club would likely be in China but some are still holding out hope that the Aussie favourite would still be able to make it to the Premier League for one more attempt.

Surely, Everton would welcome Cahill back (particularly with the issues they are having climbing the table) and they are considered the 5/1 co-favourites to sign him. Strangely, QPR are in the mix too with a price of 5/1 also being bandied about by the bookmakers.

Emmanuel Adebayor remains the player with a fair amount of volume still to come on him and he’s a 1/2 shout to finish the day a Spurs player while QPR can be backed at 5/4 to retain the signature of the enigmatic striker. Stoke City trade at 6/1 while an unlikely move to PSG would reward at a hefty 12/1 price. Malaga had also been in the mix for him and he’s trading at 16/1 to go there.

It is also pretty clear that the bookmakers don’t really expect any record-breaking purchases with the World transfer record to be broken paying out at a very long 33/1, the British transfer record is a 10/1 shout.

Manchester City to sign a player on deadline day looks pretty unlikely with a 7/2 margin right now from the bookmakers. Manchester United supposedly look poised to sign somebody with a 10/11 price. Liverpool look the most likely of the larger clubs to sign a player with a 4/7 price and Arsenal trading at 11/8.
