Weekend English Premier League Betting Tips PT 2

Arsenal face off against West Ham in a London Derby fixture with the Gunners going in as the slim 2/5 favourites against the Hammers - who trade at a massive 7/1 margin. The West Ham side have proven that they can tangle with some of the better teams in the Premier League this season and there will be more than a few punters who get down on them as you never really know which Arsenal side are going to show up sometimes.

The draw in this one is a 4/1 margin and it’s likely that we’re going to see a winner as opposed to some type of tepid draw. You wouldn’t be shocked to see a red card in this match either.

Chelsea take on Southampton and this one would have been a lot closer in terms of the wagering if it took place around Christmas but instead we have the Saints come in as the 11/2 underdogs against Chelsea who trade at a 4/7 margin that will probably be popular in accumulator wagers.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been an effective fighting force for quite a while but since they were dumped out of the Champions League in mid-week you have to admit that they might be vulnerable in this one so you wouldn’t really fault somebody for staking a bit on Southampton to pull off the upset victory at Stamford Bridge. It hasn’t really been an easy season to be a Chelsea fan when you look at some of the off the pitch issues that have been unfolding and their lack of success in Europe sort of takes the shine off their relatively short forward charge to the Premier League title.

Look for the draw at 3/1 - a price that Jose Mourinho would probably be disappointed with publicly but privately satisfied as he knows Southampton can play some good stuff and his team might be at a low ebb in terms of confidence - which is odd for a team sitting number 1.

Manchester City go into their match against West Burnley as one of the biggest favourites of the entire weekend with a very short 9/20 price tag being floated right now by most major bookmakers. Burnley are trading at a 6/1 listing right now and that’s long for a home team against a City side that haven’t exactly been razor sharp as of late in the league.
