American Politics Betting Update

Things are definitely getting interesting in the American political sphere (as if they ever aren’t interesting) and the bookmakers are rolling out a number of new betting markets in Europe for those looking to capitalize on the latest comings and goings of presidents old and new.

Donald Trump is facing his second impeachment despite not actually being president anymore as punishment for his accused role in the capitol riot situation that unfolded a few weeks ago. The bookmakers do not think the senate will convict him and they are paying out a hefty 31/1 if he is convicted.

They also have a market listed for the margin of votes with 52-54 being the most favoured outcome at a 13/16 price tag. 55-59 would reward at a solid 19/10 while 51 or fewer votes sites at a very nice 10/1 margin.

For quite some time during the campaign most people didn’t feel as though Joe Biden would last his full term in office due to his advanced age and seemingly senile moments. Now, however, it appears as though they do expect him to serve the full four years with a price of 11/17 for him to see out his full term. Biden not to make it a full four years rewards at a 9/4 price that will probably tempt a few people looking to turn a profit here.

Joe Biden’s first foreign trip is definitely complicated by the current situation facing the world but many expect his first trip to be to the United Kingdom with a price of 4/6 being floated by the European bookmakers. Ireland trades at a 2/1 price and that’s likely shorter than it should be.

Germany at a 7/2 margin is an interesting option while France can be backed at a 28/5 price tag. China pays out at a 44/5 margin and would certainly make a lot of headlines while Ukraine - where he is attached to more than a few scandals - can be backed around 94/1.
