He has made a few moves that indicate he is looking to seek larger office but one has to remember that the first mover for the Republican party in an election cycle usually winds up taking the bulk of the incoming criticism and that could wind up hurting him in the long term going forward.

DeSantis can be backed at a solid price of around 12/1 which certainly makes him a marquee contender in the betting market. With the Democratic party in seeming disarray - and the fact that they could be tied to an underwhelming Biden/Harris ticket in 2024 - this could wind up being a sharp wager. 

Former Secretary of State Nikki Haley has done a good job of keeping her head down over the last little while and doing some good work behind the scenes. Her foreign policy expertise could wind up being extremely important if she chooses to seek higher office and one has to think that she has the expertise and the experience to head a ticket - not simply be a Vice-Presidential candidate. 

Depending on whether she wants the job and can put together a formidable political machine to get there, Haley could be a rather sharp bet for the presidency in 2024. Look for her anywhere between 12/1 and 20/1. 

Former Vice-President Mike Pence is very much in the mix as well and his close ties to Donald Trump could wind up undoing his political ambitions but he could be a very important part of the primary process for the nomination and could emerge as the winner if he is able to get the balance right.
