Big Brother Betting Predictions for a Quadrupal Eviction
- By Allan Pederson on August 19, 2010 03:52 GMTUK Big Brother fans have a rather fascinating prospect rapidly approaching as Friday promises a quadruple eviction.
This has blown the betting markets wide open and punters are piling on to get their bets in on this one. It could very well wind up being an extremely profitable day for savvy observers of everybody's favourite terrible television show.
William Hill is currently the only bookmaker offering up a special market for this weekend's quadruple eviction, although I suspect others will likely show up on Thursday. Regardless, you can still lock in your preferred bets early enough. John James is a virtual certainty to depart the house this Friday and many suspect that he's going to be the first out the door.
Hills prices John James to be evicted this Friday at a 1/12 price tag while Sam is also a likely candidate to depart at a slim 1/6 listing. Steve doesn't look like he has much hope either with a 2/9 price. Dave is the only other housemate who is odds-on for eviction with a 2/5 price tag.
If you fancy one of the longer-odds selections to be evicted, you're looking at some fairly tidy prices. Punters still seem to be on the fence about Mario and he's trading at 5/4 to be evicted at any point on Friday; Corin trades at 9/4, looking rather safe, while JJ and Andrew are listed at 4/1 and 5/1, respectively.
Since it's a slightly different eviction scenario this week, the 9th eviction market is referring to the first person to be voted off during the quadruple. Should more than one housemate leave at the exact same time then William Hill will be applying dead-heat rules.
John James eviction odds are trading at 4/9 (to be the first to go) while Sam is priced at 7/2. Steve is listed at 7/1 with Dave at 12/1. Mario is available at 20/1, Corin at 33/1, JJ at 40/1 and Andrew at a 50/1 price.
In regards to the outright winner, Josie remains odds-on to win at a 4/6 listing while Corin's price has shortened to 2/1 from 11/4. The odds then take a massive jump to Sam at 12/1 and Mario at 14/1. Steve is available at 25/1 with Andrew at 33/1. Dave is priced alongside JJ at 50/1 with John James at 66/1.
It is also worth noting that Ladbrokes is the only site to offer up Winning Gender Forecast betting on Big Brother. If you think that the top two finishers will be female, then you've got a short price of 1.44. This is just how heavily-favoured Corin and Josie really are.
A female winner and a male runner up is trading at 3.5 while a male winner and a female runner up is priced at 7.0. A male winner and a male runner up can be backed at a lengthy 26.0.
