Brexit Betting Update PT 1

With things definitely thrown into even further turmoil and Theresa May having cancelled her potential vote on the Brexit deal just today, the betting markets are starting to heat up in regards to how the seemingly unending drama surrounding the UK’s potential exit from the European Union is going to pan out over the coming weeks and months.

It is effectively the number one news item of the moment right now and it’s on the cover of virtually all newspapers around the world as everybody looks towards what will happen next for the UK and Theresa May.

Opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn declared that May’s abdication of the signature piece of her election campaign indicates that the government is in complete disarray and Labour MPs shouted at May to resign as she wrapped up her statements on Monday.

Jacob Rees-Mogg of the Conservative Party declared that May has proven herself to be ineffective in her role and that she should get things together quickly unless she wants to risk a Labour government taking over in the short to near term based on this outcome.

The pound has dropped nearly 2% since May’s confirmation that the Brexit vote would be cancelled and the defiant speech that she delivered has sent question marks over nearly every aspect of English politics for the time being.
