Eurovision 2010 Final: The Latest Betting Odds
- By Allan Pederson on May 30, 2010 00:15 GMTPlenty of interesting prices available as we're just a few short hours away from the kick-off of the widely-anticipated Eurovision 2010 Final. Azerbaijan's Safura Alizadeh is continuing to hold onto her spot as favourite although her odds have been lengthening over the past 48 hours since the second semi final.
Currently, top UK bookmakers have her priced at 11/4 to win Eurovision 2010, while Germany's Lena Meyer-Landrut continues to shorten with a price of 10/3. There is not much between these two favourites anymore.
Another big story has been Armenia's dramatic drop in price as Eva Rivas looks to be attracting a fair amount of late bets. She looks to be the spoiler’s option here and could really be considered the potential dark horse. The momentum is certainly in her favour as her price has dropped significantly and continues to shorten. Armenia trades around 5/1 at the moment.
Turkey's odds have also dropped quite a bit, listed at around 8/1. Israel doesn't really look like they’re in the running, but are definitely competitive for a top 5 place with odds of 10/1 to win the contest. Denmark are 14/1 before the odds take a jump to 25/1 for Greece.
Betting markets for Eurovision are generally fairly solid, and last year we saw Alexander Rybak listed as an odds-on favourite for the entire run up to the competition. Safura Alizadeh has also been the favourite for most of the build-up but her support has been getting more lukewarm over the past few days. We could see a potential upset today while Germany and Armenia look to have momentum in their favour.
