The showpiece of American Football is just a few short days away as Super Bowl XLV is finally set to unfold at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Betting Choice has been previewing the massive selection of wagering markets in the build up to this fixture and today is all about examining the props betting and statistical bets that Super Bowl bettors can take full advantage of.
A few special props catch the eye from the outset, one of which is the total receptions six shooter where punters select from a list of six receiving players to determine who will boast the most receptions. Greg Jennings is a 2/1 favourite while Donald Driver sits at a 7/2 price tag. Mike Wallace is at 4/1 with Heath Miller and Jordy Nelson sharing a 5/1 price. James Jones is the biggest payout with a 7/1 listing.
Aaron Rodgers over/under on passing is set at 285.5 while Ben Roethlisberger is set at 240.5. There are also props available for passing attempts and completions with Rogers favoured for 34.5 pass attempts and 22.5 completions. Roethlisberger’s ratio is at 31.5 for attempts and 19.5 for completions. Total passing yards per quarter are also available.
The Steelers will be counting on their high-quality running game and they also have a fantastic rushing option in their quarterback. Roethlisberger’s over/under on rushing yards is a miniscule 15.5 and the over there seems like money in the bank. Aaron Rodgers rushing is set at 23.5. Rashard Mendenhall looks likely to hit the 78.5 he’s been set at, while James Starks is available at 47.5.
The Packers will be counting on their passing game to lead them to victory and Greg Jennings looks to be the favoured player to rack up the most passing yards. Jennings over/under on passing yards is set at 85.5 with Mike Wallace trading the closest at a 71.5 listing. Hines Ward is available at 36.5 while James Jones is set at 43.5.
