US Presidential Election 2024 Betting
- By A.J. Ryder on December 15, 2020 17:28 GMTThere has been plenty of interesting happenings in the United States as the presidential handoff is just a few weeks away. President-Elect Joe Biden has been confirmed and will move into the White House in January. After a very difficult political period things look as though they might return to normal at some point soon - though “normal” has different connotations whenever Donald Trump is involved.

There still remains the runoff elections in the Georgia senate and this could wind up tilting things in the favour of the Democrats if they are able to win both seats. It looks unlikely according to the bookmakers that they will win both as the Republicans are trading at ⅖ right now to hold the senate.
Looking ahead to the next election, however, there is plenty of intrigue developing with Kamala Harris trading as the favourite to be elected President in 2024. The bookmakers have her trading around a 4/1 price tag with her counterpart Joe Biden available around a 9/2 listing to win the next election.
Biden is unlikely to pursue a second term due to his advanced age and health status. He has also gone on the record as saying he is a placeholder for a younger and better candidate next time around - he had referenced Pete Buttigieg as his potential successor. It will be interesting to see if any scandals or significant problems derails either Biden or Harris’ intentions to run again. Should neither of them be considered a viable Democratic candidate in three years, then it could lead to a very solid price on one of the outside contenders.
Donald Trump is trading around 7/1 to be elected as the 2024 President but it’s unlikely he would actually run or be elected if he did. Nikki Haley can be backed at a price of 12/1 to 16/1.
Mike Pence can be backed anywhere between 10/1 and 18/1 depending on whom you’re wagering with and things get a little interesting in the betting market after him. Other notables include Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at a range of 16/1 to 25/1. Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) can be backed at 25/1, while Tucker Carlson can be backed anywhere from 10/1 to 33/1.
