Things are continuing to evolve in the race for the White House as Joe Biden seems to have come out ahead on election night but, as many had suspected, there are still plenty of voting issues to sort out and several states remain uncalled. What’s especially interesting is the fact that benchmark political website RealClearPolitics has called back their pronouncement that Joe Biden had, in fact, won Pennsylvania.

While the major news networks continue to carry on as though Biden is the president-elect, Trump’s team continue to pull out all the stops to try to show off that enough problems have happened to actually affect the recount votes in several states.

Many people are already beginning to turn their eyes towards the 2024 election and the bookmakers have just unveiled an interesting slate of odds for the next big political election. Kamala Harris is trading as the outright favourite but the prices are definitely up in the air right now so there’s plenty of opportunity to lock in a solid option going forward. 

Harris is expected to take over from the aging Biden at some point during the first term so many expect her to be at the top of the ballot in 2024. At the time of this writing, her price is hovering around a 7/2 margin which still represents some decent value since if she does wind up at the top of the ticket she will probably be around even money or shorter. 

Current Vice-President Mike Pence (who has been conveniently absent from many of the Trump press conferences and media appearances over the last few days) is expected to be the Republican nominee at this point and the bookmakers have him trading at a 5/1 price tag to be the next president of the United States.
