Dubai Racing Betting
Dubai’s Meydan Racecourse is easily the Disneyland of thoroughbred racing. Sheikh Al Maktoum’s incredible facility wrapped up its first year of competition in 2010 after switching over from the old dirt track at Nad Al Sheba.
Betting on Dubai Racing presents a unique series of challenges and puzzles that you don’t normally face in other types of flat racing. Virtually every race at the Meydan Racecourse meet is a high-level stakes race or handicap: there are no selling races or claiming races.
Meydan attracts high-end thoroughbreds from all over the world to its Tapeta surface with the Winter Racing Challenge, Dubai International Racing Carnival, and the biggest one of them all, the Dubai World Cup Night. Tens of millions of dollars in purse money is won on that single day and the Dubai World Cup itself is considered to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, prize in thoroughbred racing.
