2020 Dubai World Cup Day Betting

There are plenty of amazing races set to run at Meydan Racecourse just over a week from now and, while we have already previewed the big race - the $10,000,000 Dubai World Cup, the undercard is full of quality races featuring superstars from all over the planet.

While the days racing is set to be conducted behind closed doors thanks to the Coronavirus, there is every chance that a few of the top jockeys from outside jurisdictions may not travel since many of them would face a 14 day quarantine upon return. This includes American-based jockey Irad Ortiz who has opted not to go to Dubai this year.

In the Dubai Sheema Classic we have Ghaiyyath trading as the outright favourite here and one of the shortest prices of the day with a listing hovering around a 7/4 margin at this point. Glory Vase can be backed around a 6/1 margin while Old Persian is a decent 7/1 shout.

In the Godolphin Mile, we have Salute The Soldier available around a 5/2 price tag and that looks like a more open race than some of the others set to be contested on the Dubai World Cup undercard. Mr Freeze is a solid 4/1 price tag while Mucho Gusto is trading around a 9/2 listing and it may be a better option for him than making a run at the Dubai World Cup.

Almond Eye is the 7/4 favourite for the Dubai Turf and the Japanese-based contender should be able to put together a solid performance if she gets the type of run that she prefers. Barney Roy is set to push her all the way for the home team and is priced at a 5/2 listing.

Matera Sky is the 7/2 favourite of the Dubai Golden Shaheen and looms as a realistic contender in one of the more open races of the day. Imperial Hint is a 4/1 price tag while Gladiator King trades at an 11/2 price with most major ante post bookmakers.
