The second race of the day is the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes and we’ve only got a field of 11 to navigate here. There is plenty of form coming into it and the interesting option might be Duntle, who has taken four races on the bounce despite a DQ in her last effort.
That was a Group 1 contest and there was just a little bit too much interference down the lane for the liking of the stewards, which is what saw her get taken down. She has run very credibly in her native Ireland and has, in fact, won better races than this.
Wednesday at Royal Ascot is seldom considered to be the best day of the festival but you can still expect some very interesting betting races to unfold over the six contests on the day. With just a solitary Group 1 contest up for grabs, there are some very tricky Group 2, 3 and listed contests along with some very big fields to make the potential payouts especially appealing.

The Coventry Stakes is always a massive cavalry charge and is an impressive race if you can actually figure out the winner. Stubbs is taking the bulk of the action at this point and trades at a competitive 4/1, though some might find that’s a bit too short of a price when backing a race with so many different contenders.
Championship looks an interesting option and will certainly take money at 6/1. Take a gander at Coach House as well with an 8/1 price tag while Sir John Hawkins trades at an identical price alongside Wahaab.
Expect Animal Kingdom to be used heavily in accumulator bets and the sheer fact that it’s the first race of the day and the festival itself always means that the race is overbet. There is plenty of solid action on the Tuesday card as well with both the Coventry Stakes and the Kings Stand set to offer up some interesting handicapping challenges to punters far and wide.
There is a lot of exciting action set to unfold in less than a week’s time as one of the most widely-anticipated meetings is set to kick off at Ascot Racecourse. A number of top international superstars will be facing off in some of the best races in all of Europe and you can expect some excellent wagering opportunities in some of these massive fields.
