Taking a look at the ante post market right now, you’ll find that Pinatubo is reigning as the top selection and that likely comes as not much of a surprise to a number of observers.
Pinatubo was able to muster up one of the most impressive performances in his last outing and he absolutely spanked a quality field and clearly wants more ground to work with as he moves forward. Should he mature as many expect him to over the winter months then we will be seeing his price drop significantly on the ante post markets.
The bookmakers have Pinatubo available at a best price of around 5/4 right now which does look a bit short considering how much can happen between now and next April. Should he be able to make it all the way to the big race then you can expect plenty of punters to stack a considerable amount of their money on him but, by that point, the price could be as low as a ½ listing as he goes into the gate.
There are a few other contenders who are able to provide a challenge to him but they are all trading at double-digit prices. Chief among them appears to be Earthlight who is priced around a 12/1 margin while Mums Tipple and Siskin both trade at 14/1 price tags.
