2000 Guineas Betting Update

While we are just a couple of weeks away from the kickoff of Festival season in the National Hunt, there is already plenty of attention to be paid to the any post markets for a lot of the big flat races coming up as soon as the Punchestown festival ends in April.

The 2000 Guineas is always one of the most widely anticipated Plastics and we have seen a lot of serious Superstars emerge in this race over the last couple of years, not the least of which was Frankel and his incredible run several years ago.

This time around we have a widely haunted at favorite in the mix with the likes of Too Darn Hot being considered to be the 6/4 favorite to win the 2000 Guineas at the time of this writing.  There's a lot to like about his ability and he demonstrated a lot of prowess over his two-year-old season and look set to kick things off with a serious bang in this contest.

They're really only a couple potential Challengers and there isn't a whole lot of time for them to begin emerging as we head towards the flash season many will be using this race as a season debut or we'll have had, at best, one run for their credit for the entire season.

Quorto looms as the main threat according to the bookmakers right now and they have been trading at an 8/1 price tag to get the better of Too Darn Hot and the 2000 Guineas.

Right now it appears as though Calyx and Ten Sovereigns are also in the mix with prices around 8/1 and 10/1, respectively.
