2000 Guineas Betting Update
- By A.J. Ryder on April 3, 2019 19:50 GMTNow that British horse racing is right in the middle of festival season it appears as though the English classics are starting to see their ante post markets heat up as we all anticipate a return to the flat soon. There are a lot of solid three-year-olds already emerging for the Guineas but the wagering appears to be dominated by one major contender at this point in time.

Right now, the bookmakers look to be taking a lot of action on the main betting choice Too Darn Hot, with a number of them taking him down to an odds-on price for the Guineas which is still over a month away.
He has strung together some really solid performances during his two-year-old season and you can expect that to continue as we move towards the big kick off of his season. There is plenty to like about his ability and most fancy him to have come on quite a bit and matured more physically.
He faces some competition from the likes of Ten Sovereigns who was well-fancied as a two-year-old and has put in some solid outings so far but the gulf in price appears to correlate to a difference in quality with his listing continually on the drift over the last couple of months.
You’ll find Ten Sovereigns priced around an 8/1 listing with most major bookmakers and he’s one of the few who has still continued to trade at a single digit price. Calyx is another interesting option here and he’s floated out to around a 10/1 price tag with a number of European bookmakers.
Magna Grecia is an interesting each-way shout at a price hovering anywhere between 10/1 and 12/1. Advertise is another solid each-way option and he has a price around 10/1 with a few books but goes as high as 16s with others.
