One Ruler is listed as the slim favourite right now to get the result with a best price hovering around a 9/2 margin right now with several top bookmakers. This will be his seasonal debut and he looked good flashing home in the Autumn Stakes last year at Newmarket while also coming in a game second at Doncaster in his final race of the year.
Thunder Moon is a Group 1 winner from Ireland having captured the Vincent O’Brien Stakes last year then coming in third in his seasonal bow at Doncaster. There is plenty to expect from this contender and he will definitely be taking plenty of money. His odds hover around a 9/2 to 11/2 margin at this stage.
St Marks Basilica has beaten a lot of the contenders in this race already and he will have plenty of work to do to continue building on that good record. The French-bred contender was a victor in the Dewhurst last year after losing out to the aforementioned Thunder Moon in the aforementioned Vincent O’Brien Stakes. It’s also worth noting that his maiden victory came against an 18-strong field at the Curragh. He’s priced at a 6/1 margin.
Master of the Seas is an interesting option having won the Craven Stakes and he comes into the 2000 Guineas with a price of around 8/1. Should he be able to settle down properly in this race - he has every chance to make an impression and is emerging as the wiseguy horse for the 2000 Guineas.
