The 2016 Grand National is set to be one of the most exciting jumps races of the entire year, as always. This year's iteration of the contest appears to be an opportunity for many punters to finish off the jumps racing season in a very big way. while many of us can expect  Aintree to be as successful as the Cheltenham Festival was there is still plenty of action and excitement yet to unfold. And certainly we can expect some big prices and exciting races at this festival.

As we get closer to the big kick-off of the Festival, we can expect even more bonuses and money back specials from the bookmakers. Many of them will be paying out several places on each way wagers for the Grand National.

Needless to say the big story coming into this year's Grand National is Many Clouds, who was able to Triumph in last year's contest and is seeking to pull off a rare double by capturing to Grand Nationals back to back. He has had a very good season so far this year, punctuated by his listed victory at the Cheltenham Festival. There are no questions about his ability to handle the National fences and the Aintree course itself based on his smashing victory last year.

As it currently stands the bookmakers had many clouds trading at a 7/1 margin to pull off his second National on the bounce. His worst showing this season was a fifth-place finish in a race won by Cue Card and he followed it up with a pair of second-place finishes before his triumph at Cheltenham.

Look for many clouds to take some serious money over the next couple of days as word has emerged that he remains bang in form after his children victory. while he has been more heavily raced then some of the other contenders in the mix here, you can still expect him to pull off the victory as the only contender listed as single digits right now.
