2016 Irish 2000 Guineas Betting Tips PT 1

There is a lot to like about this weekend's massive flat race, the Irish 2,000 guineas, and we can expect another big performance from Galileo Gold in addition to the talented range of contenders set to take him on at the big race at The Curragh.  after capturing the 2000 guineas at Newmarket a few weeks ago, we now have Galileo Gold's set to tackle the exact same distance and at his name into history as a double guineas winner.

While he was certainly able to set the world alight with Frankie Dettori in the irons at New Market, Galileo gold will be able to make a big statement should he be able to pull off that 14/1 victory again - Albeit this time it will be at a much shorter price.

The short priced favorite Air Force Blue was fancied by many to tackle the 2,000 guineas with little problem and the better send him off and an awesome price on that day.  Instead he was left with far too much to do and finished well towards the back of the pack as Galileo Gold stormed home.

As it currently stands, the best price that you will find on Galileo gold is around a 7/4 margin with most major bookmakers.  Look for him to make another big impression here with another great ride from Frankie Dettori.

Air Force Blue is back for revenge however, and many will fancy his chances as there is every likelihood that he needed the race last time out much more so than Galileo Gold did. The betting markets have him trading at a price as high as a 3/1 margin to finally pay back the betters who lost on him last time out.
