- By A.J. Ryder on May 16, 2016 18:25 GMTWith American Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist having just pulled off and massive Victory and his connections targeting the Preakness Stakes in just over a week's time, we are already looking at a very interesting set of odds for the upcoming contest at Pimlico racetrack in Baltimore. The undefeated colt certainly looks to have the measure of this race and many expect him to revisit his Kentucky Derby heroics around the tight turns at Pimlico next week.

There is much to like about his ability and you will find most major bookmakers pricing him at an odds-on listing to secure the victory as several contenders in the Kentucky Derby are set to return but the so-called “new shooters” appear to be a step below their level.
Certain bookmakers go as low as a 4/7 price on the talented colt by hotshot sire Uncle Mo, However several folks still list him as high as of 5 / 6 price tag to achieve Preakness Glory and keep the Triple Crown Drive heading into the Belmont Stakes in mid-June.
His primary challenger appears to be Kentucky Derby second-place finisher Exaggerator and you can expect a slight change in tactics from his jockey Kent Desormeaux this time out. It is likely that he will race Exaggerator slightly closer to the paste this time out and expect him to come running again particularly if the early pace is as hot as many people expected to be at this point.
Look for Exaggerator at an ante post price of around 5/1.
