There's a lot to like about the way the race of shaping up and the fact that the world's highest rated racehorse has now lost twice over the surface - after looking unbeatable and races like the Dubai World Cup and the Pegasus World Cup, it looks like we have a really fascinating race on our hands that will offer up some great prices.
While Arrogate certainly came running and the last section of the race, it was clear that he wasn't going to get there and could not catch up to his stablemate Collected in the final steps of the race.
In response to this, it’s hardly surprising that a number of top European bookmakers have now lengthened his odds considerably for the 2017 Breeders’ Cup Classic, which is the de facto finale of the American racing season.
As it currently stands, Arrogate can be backed as high as a 3/1 margin now with several top bookmakers - and this is a considerable change from the ⅘ margin he was trading at just a couple of weeks ago prior to losing his first race in quite a while when he attempted the Sam F. Davis at Del Mar - only to finish a very tame fourth place.
