West Coast is another talented emerging contender and many view the California-based runner as one of the most talented three-year-olds of his crop and it’s worth noting that he emerged much later in the year than a lot of the Triple Crown contenders so it’s actually a bit similar to how Arrogate emerged late in 2016 when he romped in the Travers at Saratoga.

West Coast is trading at a higher price than Sharp Azteca but it’s clear that his connections think that it’s best to tackle this race and then likely head towards the Dubai World Cup next time out. He’s priced anywhere from an 11/2 listing all the way up to a 9/1 price tag and that makes him a very interesting each-way option here if you’re looking to back him to finish anywhere to win or to finish within the top three places.
