2017 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Tips PT 2

Beat The Bank is in the mix as well and he’s a solid 11/2 shot right now and has been a bit ignored during the build-up to this race with a lot of the betting attention going towards other contenders. Still, his price is solid enough and you can expect him to make a real impression.

Al Shaqab Racing has their contender Al Wukair in the mix here and Gregory Benoist has been booked for the mount on Saturday. Looking at him, you’ll see some performances in the past that indicate that he is a player here but there are clearly some more accomplished runners in the race this time around so he may be looking to pick up the pieces behind the likes of Churchill and Ribchester. He is still very much worth a look, however, particularly if he is making a really nice pre-race appearance.

Everybody remembers Thunder Snow’s “performance” in this year’s Kentucky Derby when he started bucking coming out of the gate and was unable to actually contest the race. Godolphin have a talented horse in him and that really does seem to have been a one-off instance. It’s worth keeping your eye on him but his odds are increasing quite a bit with most bookmakers pricing him around an 18/1 or 16/1 margin at the time of this writing.

If you were going to play a spoiler he is probably worth your money and he looks pretty good on the each-way if that’s your choice of action.

You’ll also find Frankie Dettori priced at a listing anywhere between 20/1 and 28/1 with most major bookmakers. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained horse is worth keeping your eye on and looks a player in the each-way market as well.
