2018 Belmont Stakes Betting Preview PT 3

One of the most fascinating aspects of the 2018 Belmont Stakes ante-post Market is the fact that he is owned by so many different ownership groups and many of them are involved in horses that could potentially be targeting the Belmont.

In fact, it appears as though his main rival - at least according to the bookmakers - is the Florida Derby winner and Kentucky Derby third-place finisher Audible who also happens to be owned by China Horse Club and WinStar Farms the main owners of Justify.

This means that it is extremely likely that audible will not actually run in the race even though he is trained by a different conditioner - the East Coast based trainer Todd Pletcher.

According to the ante-post markets one of the other main Rivals is the horse that has continually gone off as second favourite to Justify in each of the Triple Crown legs - Good Magic - but this horse faded in the stretch at Pimlico after putting Justify through punishing early fractions.

It's also worth noting that his trainer Chad Brown was not pleased with the ride that the horse was given by his jockey and he is considered unlikely to lineup in the 2018 Belmont Stakes.

One of the most interesting challengers in the contest appears to be Hofburg who was considered to be one of the main spoilers in the 2018 Kentucky Derby and ultimately will end up skipping the preakness. This horse is definitely bread for a mile and a half and could be a very interesting Contender as they head into the stretch on June 9th at Belmont.
