2018 Belmont Stakes Betting Preview PT 4
- By A.J. Ryder on May 21, 2018 01:52 GMTMy boy Jack is an interesting Contender and he has the distinction of being probably the biggest price plunger in the 2018 Kentucky Derby - where he was originally trading at a very long price and then shortened considerably to go off with in the top three Selections in the 20 horse field.
Another Contender, Tenfold, was closing hard on Justify towards the end of the Preakness Stakes and this is seeing him emerge as one of the chief contenders for this massive contest at Belmont. Another one of the main closers who finished within the top three at Pimlico was bravazo who is trained by legendary trainer D Wayne Lukas. both of them traded very interesting prices to get the better of justify and spoil the Triple Crown Party.
The odds then take a bit of a jump up to another one of the interesting Preakness contenders Lone Sailor, but it is still undecided whether he will actually lineup in the contest and you will know that there are only a handful of European bookmakers offering odds on him.
If there is to be key spoiler in this contest it is likely to be The Longshot Contender Vino Rosso who lines up for local boy Mike repole who is a very popular new york-based owner who continually boast a strong line-up of talented thoroughbreds and would love nothing more than to win a big victory and take a Belmont Stakes victory in front of his home crowd.
Vino Rosso was considered to be one of the main contenders for the Kentucky Derby but endured a tough trip in that contest and was then given a few weeks of freshening as he skipped the Preakness with an eye towards the mile-and-a-half Belmont Stakes.
