2018 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Preview

It’s worth noting, however, that there is an awful lot of talent beginning to emerge in the juvenile ranks and this year’s two-year-old showpiece at Churchill Downs in November could wind up being a bit of a classic in and of itself.
Two particular young colts have emerged on the West Coast and they look poised to link up in a duel for the ages if both of them can get to Churchill Downs fully fit in the late fall months. This pair have been able to do away with anything that has shown up in their path so far this year at Del Mar and you can expect them to continue pushing forward into November.
Instagrand and Roadster are both looking to be head and shoulders above the rest of their competition so far this summer - a fact punctuated by Instagrand’s impressive victory a couple of weeks ago when he triumphed over a tough field of contenders to win by nearly a pole at Del Mar.
Right now it looks like Instagrand is getting the edge from the bookmakers and he deserves all kinds of respect as we get closer to things but it could emerge that Roadster is the ultimate play.
A few more challengers may emerge on the path but both appear to be the ones to watch right now in the two-year-old ranks.
