2018 Cox Plate Betting Preview PT 1

It’s also not surprising that so few contenders showed up to make an impression against the superstar Winx, who has disposed of nearly everything in her path over the last couple of years.
While the mighty mare isn’t undefeated, having lost a few contests during the earlier part of her career, she has still put together an impressive volume of work over the last couple of seasons going nearly 21 races on the bounce.
There has been some controversy drummed up over the fact that a number of racing observers feel as though she has been running against mostly mediocre horses for the most part during her win streak. This streak has seen her vault to the top end of the world racehorse rankings with virtually nobody looking like they have a chance of dethroning her.
She comes into the Cox Plate ante post market at an extremely short price tag and the bookmakers all have her listed at odds-on. In such a short field you get the feeling that she will probably go off even shorter on the day once the money begins to pour in.
Her chief competition is coming from a few contenders that she has made short work of in the past with Benbatl and Humidor both trading at single digits to finally get revenge on Winx but it will definitely take some doing from each of them to even get within a few feet of her on the run-in. Avilus and Rostropovich are also in the mix here but their prices definitely seem to be on the drift.
