2018 Personal Ensign Betting Preview

One of the most important prep races for the upcoming 2018 Breeders Cup Distaff is the Personal Ensign which runs at Saratoga this Saturday featuring and number of talented female contenders. You get the feeling that we will have a much clearer picture but what the ante-post market will look like come November after we get a chance to see who can get the better of the tough tandem of Abel Tasman and Elate.

There's a lot to like about this race and it's definitely going to get some conversation started as to who the top fillies and mares  in the handicap division as we get closer to the Breeders Cup in November.

Right now, it appears as though all the bookmakers are favoring Abel Tasman and her ability to come back and pull off another important victory at the Spa. A number of top European bookmakers have her listed as low as below even money in their ante post markets for the Personal Ensign.

Elate has been viewed as one of the top contenders for the 2018 Breeders Cup distaff and it's interesting that they have her prices the second choice here with a listing just a few steps behind the likes of Abel Tasman.

There are a few other interesting horses in the mix here but many of them trade at much higher prices - virtually all of them currently listed in the double-digit range. Blue Prize and Wow Cat appear to be the ones to keep your eye on if you're looking for any spoilers outside of the top two and then the odds take a significant jump up to The likes of Valadorna and Farrell with Furiously cast rounding out the selections here and looking like she has an awful lot to do if she wants to attempt to factor into this race.
