2018 Preakness Stakes Odds PT 2
- By A.J. Ryder on April 24, 2018 04:15 GMTMagnum Moon is considered to be the fourth favourite for the Kentucky Derby and he’s trading at the same price for the Preakness. Obviously these aren’t the best odds you’ll find but there are some really interesting parlay opportunities here if you’re looking to back with a bookmaker who allows you to perform ante post parlay wagers.
There is a lot to like about Magnum Moon’s chances, particularly if he comes out of the Kentucky Derby having grabbed a victory - he seems to have a lot more upside than a number of other horses that are in the reckoning. He will also appreciate the distance at Pimlico, which is slightly shorter than the Kentucky Derby.
Magnum Moon is also the only other horse who is trading at a single digit price to win the 2018 Preakness Stakes.
Good Magic remains a plausible contender for the Preakness and he’s at a pretty solid price that takes him into each-way territory. There is some possibility that this race may suit his style a bit better than the Kentucky Derby would at this point. He remains a real question mark of a horse.
Bolt D’Oro looks like a fairly plausible Preakness winner and he has a great opportunity to make an impression here. You’d have to like his ability to get a victory under the right circumstances.
Runaway Ghost is the only shortest priced contender who is currently not listed for the Kentucky Derby.
