2019 Arc De Triomphe Betting Update

After returning to Sandown to pull off a smashing victory in the 2019 Coral Eclipse, Enable is now into an even shorter price to pull off an unprecedented third Arc De Triomphe at Longchamp later on this fall. She was hammered down to a ½ favourite on the day at Sandown and did not disappoint as she was able to pull clear and hold off her opposition to score by just under a length.

While there are certainly plenty of bookmakers licking their wounds right now after a heavy favourite storming home at a slim price, they have now taken Enable down to a very short price of around 7/4 to pull off a victory in Europe’s showcase of flat racing. 

You can bank on a number of top contenders lining up against her in the race but all of them look to be a step below Enable in terms of genuine class. They will be there to pounce on any missed opportunity for the mighty mare and the punters will need her to navigate things just right. 

Her biggest challenge looks to be coming from Sea of Class, who can be backed anywhere between a 6/1 and 10/1 margin right now with most major bookmakers. Being able to grab him on a double-digit price makes him a solid each-way selection but 6s is just a bit too short. 

Sotsass is an interesting outside option and you’ll find him trading anywhere between a 9/1 and 10/1 margin at the time of this writing. It remains to be seen whether he has the genuine talent to topple Enable in this one. 

Japan is also in the mix here for the Arc and the talented Coolmore runner has plenty of opportunities here but will need to step it up and run his best race ever if he’s going to be able to record a victory against the mighty Enable.
