2019 Arc De Triomphe Betting Update

Things are definitely starting to get interesting as we build up to the de facto finale of the European flat season with one of the world’s most important races - the Arc De Triomphe. This year we have one of the most exciting stories in years as living legend Enable is set to run for an unprecedented third Arc victory on the bounce.

There is so much to like about her ability and there is every reason to think that she’ll be able to get the job done against her opposition when they line up in a month’s time. 

As it currently stands, the bookmakers have her priced around a 10/11 best price and that number will doubtlessly shrink as we get closer and closer to the race itself. It is expected to be a race that many might just step back and watch as opposed to wagering a significant amount on one of the upstart contenders here. 

That being said, you don’t often get a chance to back a horse of this calibre who has shown such acumen over course and distance at a price of around 10/11. Enable is a true star of the turf and this may not even be her last contest of the season as there is every reason to think that she might be pointed towards the Breeders’ Cup at Santa Anita. 

Japan is considered to be one of the premier potential spoilers here and the 13/2 price tag likely makes him a great option in a forecast wager on taking him in a place-only selection. 

Sottsass sits at a 7/1 margin and looks solid value but, again, it will likely require a serious error for Enable for him to actually be in the mix for an outright victory in the Arc. Magical and Waldegeist are priced around a 14/1 listing with most major bookmakers.
