2019 Breeders’ Cup Classic Betting Update PT 1

While it may seem like quite a ways off until the Breeders' Cup happens in November, things are definitely getting interesting over whether the race will even be held at Santa Anita this year. with the number of equine fatalities complicating the situation at Santa Anita there is already a discussion of a reassignment of race dates and with the Breeders Cup having intended to run in Los Angeles, it may be in order to add some semblance of continuity throughout the rest of the season.

There is also no real standout Contender for the Breeders Cup Classic which by many is considered to be the de-facto World Championships of flat racing contested at a 1-mile to for long distance each year.

Without any genuine standouts in the older handicap division you'll find that the bookmakers appear to be turning towards the emerging stars from the Derby Trail as the betting favorites to when the Breeders Cup Classic against older Colts and geldings.

Both game winner and improbable, both trained by Bob baffert and basic Santa Anita, are considered to be the outright favorites to win the Breeders Cup Classic in November. The bookmakers price them around a 14/1 listing and a few of them go shorter than that but that makes both of them solid each way contenders.

Bravazo and Mackenzie have both been very popular Runners going into their fourth and fifth Seasons with a lot of momentum behind them when they're able to actually run. It remains to be seen whether they will still be running in November, but the classic would obviously be a key option for both of them. They both trade around a price of 16/1.
