There is plenty to like about the big feature contest of the entire meeting with a lot of talented contenders set to run in what looks to be a rather open iteration of the Cheltenham Gold Cup. The ante post markets have been busy with this one and plenty of solid prices are out there for each-way contenders and those looking to make a big score.

The favourite coming into the race is Presenting Percy and he has shown plenty of ability throughout this season but the fact that his status as favourite could be described as lukewarm at best makes it an open question as to whether he will actually wind up going off as the favourite since he’s facing so much quality competition.

Right now, you’ll find Presenting Percy trading with bookmakers at around a 4/1 price.

His biggest competition comes from the likes of Native River and he was able to pull off an important victory last year and will be looking to make a big impression. The punters have him backed into a 5/1 or 11/2 price with a number of top bookmakers and there is a good chance he winds up in the reckoning.

Clan Des Obeaux is very much in the mix as well here and there are few who would be surprised to see him make a push for this one late on in the race and attempt to run away from them. He’s also trading around 11/2.

Bellshill and Kemboy are the other interesting shouts here and they are trading at competitive prices that make you wonder just where it actually winds up at the tape comes up and the race begins. Both of them have drifted a bit up to 10/1 but look very interesting on the each-way.
