2019 Guineas and Derby Ante Post Preview

While National Hunt season is certainly in full swing right now there is still plenty of really interesting wedding opportunities unfolding in the ante-post markets for the Flats season and the 2000 Guineas and the 2019 Epsom Derby have plenty of really solid contenders and them and some great prices are being floated by the bookmakers right now.

The really big star for both of the male races appears to be the likes of too darn hot who comes into the contest with a really solid 6/4 price tag to win the 2000 Guineas,  erase he's been favored for for quite some time.

It's quite likely that that price will drop even further as we get closer to the season unless he picks up some type of injury or we see another Superstar emerge out of nowhere but it appears as though the majority of equality slot Runners heading into the three-year-old season are already known quantities.

Too Darn Hot remains a 9/2 margin to win the 2019 Epsom Derby and there is plenty of plausible contention to that but it remains to be seen whether he will actually pursue that race or may opt to tackle the Irish 2000 guineas instead if his connections don't think he's going to be able to get the full mile and a half distance.

His main Rivals for the 2000 guineas appear to be the likes of Quorto, Anthony Van Dyck, and Ten Sovereigns all are contenders who have been able to pull off solid victories over the past while and look set to push him all the way. Out of the three Anthony Van Dyck is the chief rival for The Derby and could be set to make his impression there instead.
