Right now, the bookmakers have him floating at a price as high as 20/1 and that looks pretty solid but you reckon that without another win on the Derby trail and a nice second place behind somebody else that he will likely still be at a 20/1 margin or higher on the first Saturday in May.

Harvey Wallbanger pulled off a big upset at Gulfstream Park a few weeks ago to deliver at a big price and his impressive performance has a lot of people thinking that he could wind up being the real deal. He trades anywhere between a 25/1 price tag all the way up to a 33/1 price.

Another big contender is the West Point Thoroughbreds Gunmetal Gray who was able to put together a good second place over a very sloppy track at Santa Anita in the contest where the widely-vaunted Godolphin entrant Coliseum - a two million dollar yearling purchase - proved to be unable to keep up with his competition and he finished a tame fourth after going off an an extremely short price.

Gunmetal Gray is a versatile contender and looks like he could be a real outside contender for the victory on Derby Day. If he can continue to progress and go forward in his training then he could loom as a real sharp wiseguy horse come the Run for the Roses.

Punters will find Gunmetal Gray anywhere between 33/1 to 40/1 or so.
