Accelerate is listed as the outright favourite for the Pegasus World Cup right now with a fairly slim price - one that is quite similar to his listing in the ante post market for the 2018 Breeders’ Cup Classic - though it’s worth noting that a few bookmakers in Europe continue to float Gun Runner in the ante post market despite the horse being retired to stud and covering mares as you’re reading this.

With a number of top older horses already retiring to their respective stud duties, it’s going to be interesting to see which runners actually wind up coming into the Pegasus field.

Breeders’ Cup Distaff winner Monomoy Girl - who is an absolute shoe-in for female horse of the year - is also pointed at the Pegasus and she trades at a single digit price to be able to pull off a massive victory for herself and her connections. Her great run of form has not seen her face off against males yet so there will be plenty who thinks she’s got what it takes to get the victory - and that’s being reflected in the ante post market.
