2019 Pegasus World Cup Betting Preview PT 4
- By A.J. Ryder on November 9, 2018 18:03 GMTHe certainly has his fans and you can expect them to show up at the windows in a big way as he looks to stamp his mark on the 2019 Pegasus World Cup and bring back a boatload of cash for his connections.
There is a lot to like about his ability and it looks as though the bookmakers have a tough time sorting out his price with some listing him in the single digits and others putting him well into the each-way range of ante post pricing.
Catholic Boy is another talented runner who didn’t seem to be able to put together the Classic performance that many individuals were expecting so it’s worth keeping your eye on him and perhaps factoring him into your exotic bets as opposed to backing him to win the race outright. With a couple of significant defections or withdrawals from the Pegasus World Cup field you could see him getting into the mix but it looks like he will need some help if he’s going to challenge for top honours in this contest.
Gunnevera put in a hard-charging performance to finish second in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and he is based at Gulfstream Park so knows the surface extremely well.
You can expect him to be right in the mix here and is a significant addition to any exacta or trifecta tickets since he boasts a late-running style that suits him well to picking up the pieces.
Catalina Cruiser is another to watch and he put in a bit of a disappointing performance in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile but still could be a major factor here going forward. He boasts the same connections as Accelerate and it will be interesting to see whether he lines up here. He trades well into each-way territory.
