You’ll find him trading at a very solid 4/1 price tag.

Seeking the Soul is in the mix with a 6/1 price tag and John Sadler’s Catalina Cruiser is a very interesting 10/1 shout but will likely need to improve on his performance last time out where he looked likely to get caught but held on in the final steps at Del Mar. He was a major favourite heading into the Breeder’s Cup Dirt Mile last year and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to pull off the type of performance necessary to win against these types of horses going an additional two furlongs.
It will likely require a different set of tactics in order to actually get the victory here but the 10/1 offering on him now looks fairly appealing but he could wind up going off at a bigger price on the day so it’s best to adopt a wait and see approach to Catalina Cruiser in the Whitney.
Catholic Boy has established himself as one of those types of horses who will show up virtually anywhere and always put in an honest effort. The fact remains that he is probably a step or two behind some of the leading fancies in this Grade 1 contest but if luck breaks his way then the 10/1 listing on him could wind up seeming like really solid value.
Gift Box is owned by the same connections as Catalina Cruiser and looks to be a bit more adept at the distance this race will be contested at. A proven winner and the most recent recipient of the Santa Anita Handicap, this contender deserves some real applause for what he’s been able to pull off over the past couple of months since he transferred ownership.
Yoshida is another popular contender and he’s in the mix here at a 14/1 price which makes him a decent each-way option while Pavel trades at a 33/1 and looks like he will have plenty of work to do here.
