2020 Champion Hurdle Betting Preview PT 2

He is undefeated so far this season and can be backed with confidence here - particularly since he and Rachael Blackmore have put together some really nice runs together so far. He has been able to take on anything that the Irish contenders have thrown at him so far this season and you can bank on his ability to get things taken care of here.

Gordon Elliott’s Envoi Allen has been a really exciting competitor this year and it is still up in the air about which contest he is heading towards. Taking a look at the ante post markets you’ll find a wide range of prices on him anywhere from a 4/1 listing all the way up to a 14/1 price tag.

He is undefeated in his career so far over jumps and it would be no surprise to see him hit the winners circle here. The reason why his price is all over the place in the Champion Hurdle is because his connections appear to be preferring an easier outing for him this time around.

As it currently stands, you’ll find him available around an 11/8 price tag to secure a victory in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle and he has a lot of ability to tackle that race - making him the prohibitive 11/8 favourite in that one.

Nicky Henderson’s Pentland Hills is firmly pointed at this race and, while he hasn’t secured a victory in 2020 he does have plenty of ability demonstrated in some of his previous contests. There is plenty to like about how he has run in the past and they may be saving him up for a nice score here at Cheltenham.

In the ante post markets right now, punters will find Pentland Hills available around a 5/1 listing with multiple major bookmakers. Abracadabras is also in the mix here with a few bookmakers but some go as high as a 50/1 margin on him as he looks to be headed for the Supreme Novices.
