The big feature contest of the Cheltenham Festival is setting up to be another fascinating iteration and the prices on offer here make this one of the most appealing Gold Cup’s in quite some time as a number of familiar faces are set to tangle with some of the emerging talent that has been knocking heads over the proper fences for a while now.

He was out in January for a victory under Phil Townend at Tramore when he was a 4/7 favourite against a group of 6 on bhis lone run so far this campaign. His intentions for the Gold Cup have been clear all year and many will have him backed on their ante post tickets they may have locked in over the past year.
Al Boum Photo is a general 7/2 price with most bookmakers.
Delta Work returns to Cheltenham for another attempt at a big run this time around and he’s trading as the outright third favourite around a 6/1 margin with several bookmakers. He won the Pertemps Final here in 2018 and was a third place finisher when moving up to chasing fences last year.
He was unsuccessful on his seasonal debut with a second place finish at Down Royal but he’s followed that up with two sharp victories and he looks set to kick on here following his solid victory in the Grade 1 Irish Gold Cup, defeating Kemboy in the process.
Other notable contenders for the Gold Cup include Clan Des Aubeaux, Kemboy, Presenting Percy and Lostintranslation.
