The ante post markets have evolved over the last couple of weeks considerably and you can bank on plenty of swings in the market during the build-up to the race as many of the competitors also have entries in some of the other juvenile hurdle races at the festival.
Right now, punters will find that Shiskin is sitting as the outright betting favourite with the bookmakers floating him around a 9/4 margin at the time of this writing. His hurdling career got off to an inauspicious start when he had a falling effort in his first outing but has since strung together back to back wins and comes into Cheltenham with some serious momentum.
He has forged a good partnership with Nico De Boinville and they were able to win their last outing when sent off at a very slim ½ margin.
Nicky Henderson has done a good job with the emerging hurdler and his price should go down during the build-up to the festival as many punters will be slipping him into their accumulator tickets to add value to some of the better races happening later on the day.
