Irish based runner Asterion Forlonge is coming in with an interesting price of around 5/1 and he has been undefeated in his career over fences so far with a point to point victory early in his career, following up by three wins under rules. The most impressive was his outing at Leopardstown where he was able to muster up a really solid performance and he should be able to build on that going forward.

Willy Mullins charge has plenty of talent and if he can make a breakthrough here then he will definitely be able to deliver some value for the punters who are backing him. 

Gordon Elliott’s contender Abracadrabras comes into the race with plenty of experience and many will remember his fourth place finish last year in the Champion Bumper - it’s always good to be backing a horse who has experience at Cheltenham and he seems to handle fences much better than he does the bumper contests. 

He has strung together a pair of Grade 1 victories so far this year in Ireland and will definitely be one to watch once Punchestown rolls around since he appears to have a really good feel for that course and distance. 

Punters will find that Abracadabras is available around a very solid 11/2 price tag depending on whom you’re wagering with and you could see his price taking a hit on the day if he makes a really good pre-race appearance. 

Fiddlerontheroof is an interesting option as well and he can be backed anywhere from a 5/1 all the way up to an 8/1 price and that makes him a solid contender if you don’t want to back any of the leading fancies for whatever reason.
