It wasn’t so much just the victory in the Queen Mother but it was the manner of the victory that really told the tale of Politologue. Unchallenged virtually the entire race, he was able to etch his name into festival lore and his 2020 campaign looks like it could kick off with a real bang if he’s as in form as we expect him to be once Saturday rolls around. 

Rouge Vif is another outside contender and he’s priced around a 13/2 margin at the time of this writing. He has claims here but will need to take a step up on his past form if he’s going to tangle with the frontrunning three here. You can expect a tactical ride on him and if he’s in the mix as they start running up the hill then it could be anybody’s ballgame. 

The odds then take a pretty significant jump to around 20/1 for the likes of First Flow and Brewupastorm. These are really place-only selection for most but if there’s going to be any mistakes made by some of the leading contenders then there is every chance one of these could pick up the pieces in second or third place. 

Castlegrace Paddy can be backed around 33/1 while Esprit Du Large rounds out the betting with a price as high as 50/1.
